Mainstay Christian
Mainstay (n): a person or thing on which something else is based or depends.

At Mainstay Christian, Christ alone is our Mainstay. He is the one on which we base our lives and depend upon continually in all we do.
Mainstay education is a beautiful blend of a rigorous engaging private Christian school education with the flexibility of homeschooling.
Mainstay Christian currently offers a kindergarten through sixth grade on campus hybrid homeschool program. All K - 4th grade students meet from 8:30 - 12:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The 5th and 6th grade day are extended until 1:00 to accommodate a heavier curriculum load. MCA is currently located at the Ministry Annex at Westminster Presbyterian for the 2024-2025 school year. For the 2025-2026 school year MCA will be moving to Stumptown Mennonite Church.

There is a Pack and Stay option for all families to use to extend any K-4th grade child's day until 1:00 at a minimal cost. Students pack their lunch and have extended time with peers in structured and unstructured activities. In addition, the option to add on electives from 1:00 - 2:00 is offered, with opportunities for students to take classes like art, physical education, Spanish, STEAM, home economics and many more.
The remaining three days of the week are spent in at-home learning with all materials and lesson outlines provided by the Mainstay teachers. Parents will love the support of trained and certified educators while being able to have a hands-on role in their child's Christian based education.

In addition, MCA also operates a secondary program for K - 2nd grade called the S.T.A.Y. Program. This program is designed to support homeschooling families academically while providing a place for their students to connect, take classes, and attend assemblies and field trips.
