While our on campus hybrid program is our most sought after option, we do provide another quickly growing option for homeschooling families. This program is called S.T.A.Y. - Students + Teachers At-Home Year. The desire of this program is for Mainstay teachers to support families who are homeschooling. The STAY Program utilizes the same curriculum, same pacing, same weekly assignment checklist, Mainstay teacher support, and classroom resources as our hybrid program, but is done at home in a flexible parent-led format. Each student will receive an assigned classroom teacher who will provide all assignments and supplemental learning materials every week. This work will be completed at home with parent support. Through this program, all needed curriculum is provided by Mainstay for the students and is part of your tuition.
In addition, our STAY students are able to participate in our Pack + Stay program and register for on-campus elective classes on Tuesday/Thursday afternoons. We invite and encourage our STAY students to join us on campus for assemblies, special events, guest speakers, monthly Connections Committee activities, field trips and mission projects. STAY students are also invited on campus for several STAY Days throughout the year. These learning experiences are designed for STAY students in order to connect with other MCA homeschooling students during a morning of learning led by an MCA educator.
STAY tuition is less than half of our hybrid tuition, and students enrolled in STAY can remain on the MCA Hybrid waitlist and will have the early opportunity to screen for free each spring for any available spots within the Hybrid Program.
The STAY Program will be offered for Kindergarten - 2nd Grade for the 2025-2026 school year. For the 2026-2027 school year, this program will expand to include Kindergarten - 3rd Grade with the intention of adding one grade level per year up to sixth grade.

F.A.Q. The Hybrid Program is our top choice, but we are interested in enrolling in STAY if the Hybrid Program is full. Do we need to apply for the Hybrid Program and the STAY Program at the same time?
As our STAY Program does not have cap levels similar to our Hybrid Program, you do not need to apply for both at the same time. If the Hybrid Program is your top choice, apply for that first. If you were to receive an email after application that the Hybrid Program is currently at capacity, we will then offer a link to enroll in the STAY Program. You do not need to fill out both forms right away - simply fill out the Hybrid Application to begin the admissions process at MCA! The STAY Program will still be an option if our Hybrid Program is full.
