The Foundations of MCA

Mainstay Christian Academy was founded in 2022 by two former public school educators with the goal of bringing Bible-based, affordable, high-quality hybrid education to the Lancaster County homeschooling community. Mainstay began operating out of a local church with two classrooms, two educators, and twenty students. Four years later, MCA has grown to span its offerings through two programs to pre-kindergarten through sixth grade students with eight classrooms, twelve educators and over one hundred forty-five students.

Mainstay Christian Academy currently offers two programs, the Hybrid Program and the STAY Program.

Even with rapid growth and multiple changes over the years, MCA's mission stays the same:

Mainstay Christian Academy seeks to provide an affordable Christ-centered education and support system to Lancaster County homeschooling families through a hybrid model of education.

Mainstay Christian Academy looks to fulfill its Christ-centered mission in the following ways:

1. Blending a rigorous engaging private school style Christian education with the flexibility of homeschooling through a hybrid program that is built upon two days of in-person learning and three days of at-home learning per week.

2. Providing parents with the support of trained and certified educators while ensuring that parents still retain a hands-on role in their child's education.

3. Keeping pricing affordable for families who are seeking alternatives to public and private education.
