Meet Mrs. Wenger

Professional Background: I graduated from Millersville University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Athletic Coaching.  I went on to earn my master's equivalency in Education.  I am a Pennsylvania state certified teacher with over 19 years of classroom teaching experience in Lancaster County and was an assistant high school track coach for 11 years.  I currently serve as one of the two executive directors of MCA and am one of the founders of the program which  began in 2022.

Favorite Part of Working at MCA:  It is a joy working with children, especially when Jesus is part of our day.  I've been blessed to have my own children attend Mainstay and be taught by teachers who love the Lord.  

 

Family: I live in Lancaster with my husband and our two sweet children.

 

Hobbies:  My hobbies include reading with my children, spending time at the beach and pool, family bike riding, playing backyard sports with our kids, exercising, and family foosball games.   

 

Favorite Verse:  Philippians 4:6-7 which reminds me that God is in control of all things and cares about my concerns. I know I can live with peace in my heart and mind when I give everything to Him.  

 

Fun Facts:  I was a competitive gymnast and competed in the National Gymnastics Team Championships in 1992.  For my first job, I was a tour guide at The Amish Homestead.   I broke my nose with my knee. (Ask me how!) My best friend since 4th grade is now working with me at MCA.
