Meet Mrs. Plank

Professional Background: I graduated from Millersville University (1999) with a
bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I am a Pennsylvania state certified teacher with three years of teaching experience in the public school, six years of teaching in a homeschool co-op, and eighteen years of homeschooling my own children. I have also served as a board member for Anchor Christian Academy for almost nine years.

Favorite Part of Working at MCA: I love talking about the Lord with my students as I teach and instruct them. It is a joy getting to know each of my 15 students, and finding ways to cheer them on with encouragement and care.

Family: I have been married for almost 25 years and have five children ages 23-13.

Hobbies: Time with family is precious, especially when all of my children are
home. I also enjoy chatting with friends one-on-one, painting watercolor cards to give to people for any reason at all, and listening to the music my husband writes.

Favorite Verse: Romans 8 (the whole chapter), but verse one says: “There is
therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. . . “ What news could be better than that?

Fun Facts: I thoroughly enjoy a hot cup of earl grey creme-de-le-creme tea, I can do a few tricks on ice skates, and Lord willing I will be traveling to the United Kingdom this summer with my husband to celebrate our 25th anniversary!
