Meet Mrs. Oliver

Professional Background: After over 24 years in the print media/advertising industry, I semi-retired to spend more time with my grandkids. This lead me to substitute teaching at Dayspring Christian Academy as well as Mainstay. After two years of subbing and assisting in homeschooling my grandchildren, I accepted the position as Pre-K Aide at Mainstay.

Favorite Part of Working at MCA: I love being a part of the everyday rhythm of in school days and homeschool days with my grandkids! I love driving them back-and-forth to school and all the conversation that  happens in the car! And I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Mrs. Brown and our Pre-K class!

Family: My husband John and I have been married for over 38 years. We have four grown children and eight amazing grandchildren!

Hobbies: Spending time with friends and family, especially hosting and cooking for all of them! We love to travel and especially love hiking. One of John and I’s goals are to hike as many National Parks as we can before we’re too old ha ha!

Favorite Verse: Romans 8:28: And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.-this verse has kept me through many seasons; on mountain tops, valleys, and all the in between times where things seem very uncertain.

Fun Facts: I grew up in Brooklyn, NY and am first generation American on my mom's side of the family. Met my husband in Texas while we were both serving at a Christian ministry in the mid 1980’s. I had all four of my children within five years and while it was a blast and tons of fun, I barely remember my 20s and 30s ha ha!
