Meet Mrs. Minder

Professional Background: I earned my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Messiah College in 2006. I went on to get my Masters degree of Language and Literacy and a reading specialist certification from Millersville University in 2011. I am a Pennsylvania state certified teacher with over 19 years of teaching experience working as a third grade teacher and a reading specialist. I started teaching at MCA in 2024 as the Second Grade Teacher. 

 

Favorite Part of Working at MCA: I love coming to MCA with my daughter and seeing her thrive in a school where Jesus is at the center. I also love my job teaching and seeing the students' excitement for learning grow as we listen into a new story, play a math game, or conduct a science experiment. 

 

Family: I live in the Lititz area with my husband and our two daughters (ages 6 and 2).

 

Hobbies: In my free time, I love spending time outside with my family, taking our dog for a walk or hiking in the woods. I also love playing games, reading, and doing crafts with my girls. 

 

Favorite Verse: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

 

Fun Facts: When I was in college, I studied abroad in England and backpacked around Europe. To date, I’ve traveled to more European countries than US states - which I am working to change. I enjoy learning new things and have taught myself how to play the ukulele and bake with sourdough. I love the smell of a bookstore and a fresh cup of coffee.
